My Story

The Morena Linda My Story

My name is Josefina and I am an Argentinian interior designer, born in Buenos Aires. I come from a country that is a delicious cocktail of cultures, offering much of the exotic allure and movida so characteristic of Latin America, mingled with a good dose of European tradition and aesthetics. These various influences have shaped my youth: local folklores, Argentinian country life and horse riding in the pampa, but also European antiques and words in french and english. All brought together by a great love for activities with family and friends.

Since a young age, I have cultivated a sense for beauty. My family, both from my mother's and my father's side, has always had a fervent enthusiasm for decoration, art and antiques. My grandfather was a tireless collector of antiques and a designer of decorative objects who had his own shop in Buenos Aires. My father, in turn, has developed the same passion for collecting beautiful objects and thus followed in the footsteps of my grandfather.

In line with my family's legacy as well as my own passion for tasteful decoration and for homes with unique charme, I have gone on to study interior design in Buenos Aires. After my studies, I've tried to accumulate as varied experiences as possible so went on to work at different art houses, including the Galerie Maeght in Paris, a well-known florist in Barcelona, and a number of interior design brands in Buenos Aires. These experiences in the world of art and design have further shaped and guided my sense of aesthetics.

After moving to Zurich, Switzerland, I decided to create my own one-of-a-kind shop. The Morena Linda was born as a result of all these Argentinian and European influences. Beauty, product story and sustainability are my main criteria when selecting pieces.

You will find carefully chosen objects for your home and your closet. The collections will come mostly from my home country: Argentina. I believe in objects that give life to a house (objects that are almost alive). I hope you enjoy them!
